A little bit about the Counselor and her Intern...

I graduated from Emory University with a double major in Psychology and Spanish. I received my Master's and Specialist in School Counseling from Georgia State University. I have been a counselor at Dyer for 15 years and in the county for a total of 20 years. I enjoy using puppets in my classroom guidance lessons. I am fluent in Spanish. I often use play counseling with students. I love my job! This year I am very excited to have Jenna Carroll from Georgia State University join me as an intern. She is currently working on her Master's degree and will be at Dyer 3 days per week. She will shadow me at first and then take on more and more tasks independently. It is going to be a great year!
